PROPOSAL FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE LOGISTICS PROCESS OF HEAVY CARGO TRANSPORTATION

The objective of this document is to propose improvements to the logistics process of the heavy cargo transportation service during the year 2023. Theoretically it is based on the lines of logistics, supply, dispatch, cargo transportation, costs and delivery time. While methodologically it is a quantitative, field research, feasible, non-experimental, cross-sectional project, in which the workers were assumed as the population, assuming a sample of 20 employees, to whom a dichotomous survey of 10 items. Among the results, it stands out that the diagnosis of the current situation of the logistics process was made known, verifying strengths such as weekly planning and standardization of processes, as well as weaknesses in the dispatch of goods and delivery times. The automation of the logistics process is proposed through the acquisition of technology for satellite tracking, which allows drivers to be guided on the best ways to transport goods by land to reach the contracted destinations. The proposal is technically and financially feasible. It is concluded that the company can become more competitive in the Venezuelan market, being able to reach more destinations, thanks to the advantages of the planning carried out and constant evaluation.
