Vol. 3 No. 1 (2024): Advances in Engineering and Applied Technology

The third volume number 1 presents three articles. The first one discusses the analysis of steel bridge structures involving the evaluation of integrity and performance of bridges built with steel, using engineering methods to ensure their safety and functionality. This includes material strength inspection, load and stress evaluation, and identification of potential failure points. Optimizing these structures involves the use of genetic algorithms to determine the dimensions of bridge structural elements, aiming to achieve a lightweight structure that meets the strength requirements and maximum deflection allowed by bridge design standards. The second article focuses on the application of machine learning algorithms in predicting failures in electrical networks, involving the use of advanced technologies to predict and prevent potential failures in electrical systems. This includes analyzing historical and real-time data to identify patterns and anomalies, enabling informed decision-making to optimize energy consumption, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency. Machine learning also helps improve network stability by forecasting renewable energy production and optimizing operations. The third article discusses optimizing energy efficiency in industrial refrigeration systems, focusing on improving performance and reducing energy consumption in refrigeration systems used in industrial environments. This involves adopting machine learning technologies and data analysis to optimize energy consumption, efficiently manage workloads, and detect anomalies in system operations. Additionally, it seeks to implement natural refrigerants and energy management systems to reduce carbon footprint and comply with environmental protection regulations.
