Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the problem of energy efficiency in industrial refrigeration systems, exploring strategies for its optimization. Through a quantitative methodology with a sample of 100 industrial companies, the influence of factors such as business size, implemented technologies, history of energy management and adoption of sustainable practices was evaluated. The results showed a direct relationship between business size and average energy consumption. Likewise, technological modernization, the early and continuous implementation of efficiency measures and the incorporation of sustainable practices showed positive impacts on energy performance. The research allows us to conclude that effective optimization requires a comprehensive approach that combines technological innovation, optimized operations management and consolidation of an organizational culture oriented to the efficient use of energy and sustainability. This study provides knowledge and practical tools for companies in the sector to improve their energy efficiency.
