Abstract

The main objective of the research is to analyze the application of Game Theory in strategic decision making in economic and political contexts. To this end, a systematic review of the literature and a comparative analysis of practical cases selected for their representativeness and clarity in illustrating the principles of Game Theory in action were carried out. Game Theory is an analytical tool that has evolved from a purely mathematical theoretical framework to a tool applied in strategic decision making in economic and political contexts. The main theoretical contributions of this research focus on the relevance and versatility of Game Theory as an analytical tool in economics and politics, as well as its evolution from a theoretical framework to a tool applied in strategic decision making. The methodology used in this research was based on a systematic review protocol that included the identification of relevant keywords and their subsequent use in academic databases such as JSTOR, Scopus and Google Scholar. The inclusion criteria for the sources focused on thematic relevance, academic quality and significant contribution to the understanding of Game Theory in the mentioned fields of study. Additionally, special attention was paid to the triangulation of sources and perspectives to ensure a holistic and multidimensional understanding of the topic. The main results of this research reveal significant aspects about the application of Game Theory in economics and politics. A high influence is observed in areas such as sustainable development and environmental policies, which reflects how Game Theory helps to understand decisions and strategies in scenarios where multiple actors with divergent interests interact and make decisions that impact the environment and the environment. long term development.
